Wissington has finally been re-wheeled

Wissington has finally been re-wheeled.

Work can now progress with the suspension adjustments and reassembly of brake rigging.

The coupling rod centres can be accurately measured and re-metalled bushes bored to suit.

The motion and connection rods can be reassembled and the slide valves reset.

The boiler is now being made ready for washing out for its Part 1 cold exam by our Insurance Surveyor.

Today signals the beginning of the last stages of the chassis overhaul.
