Wissington Finishes Off Middy Season

The Society's plucky little 0-6-0 saddle tankWissingtonsaw in the new year in style with a steaming day for New Year's day on theMid-Suffolk Light Railwayat Brockford.

Wissingtonhas been based atThe Middyfor the season, hauling trains throughout the year. This year she also hauled the Railway's Santa Special services, offering visitors a charming ride along the Railway's half a mile line to the 'North Pole Halt' at the end of the line.

Wissingtonwill undergo winter maintenance at Brockford this year. It was also previously stated inJoint Linethat she was to travel to the Nene Valley Railway for a Steam Gala event, this will now unfortunately no longer be going ahead.
