WD - we are nearly there

After a long and frustrating 18 months good news comes from the Weybourne sheds that the WD has passed its exacting hydraulic pressure test witnessed and passed by the BES Inspector. Previous tests revealed a few minor issues not associated with the original boiler fracture.

With this first test hurdle passed work will continue to make ready for an initial steam test to be followed by the required BES witnessed steam check. If all this is satisfactory the boiler insulation and outer cladding can be reassembled. Light engine running will then follow with the hope that the WD might feature in the Norfolk Light Express runs.
