Ring Haw Update December 2021

Work has started in earnest during week commencing the 6th December 2021, with the controlled dismantling of Ring Haw, with NNR Fitters, Alex Harper-Bourne and Ben Sharred, disconnecting and removing boiler fittings, pipework, chimney and the cab roof.

All components are being labelled and catalogued as they are removed, before being stored safely.

On Monday 13th December 2021, work stared on removing the left hand connecting rod and crosshead, with the right hand counterparts being removed on the Tuesday morning ahead of the engine being shunted out into the Yard to have the saddle tank removed.
