Muddle Bar Back for Steam Gala
The M&GN Joint Railway Society's 1937 LNER Restaurant Buffet - dubbed theMuddle and Go Nowherebar car - will be in service for all three days of the North Norfolk Railway's Autumn Steam gala, offering a fantastic selection of draught real ales from the barrel along with cider, wines and other refreshments.
The bar car has undergone a renaissance recently with extensive works to refresh the vehicle. The bar car now has capacity to hold more firkin barrels, giving a greater selection of real ales and we will be offering draught cider for the first time over the gala too.
Alongside the daily service, the bar car will be in service for the two evening Beerex and Fish & Chip specials on Friday and Saturday evening. Hauled byTornadoon Friday night andOliver Cromwellon Saturday night, the bar will be open till late. The Beerex and Fish & Chip specials kick off with the 1654 departure from Sheringham and run for three round trips with Fish & Chip served on the 1922 departure from Sheringham. The last trip departs Sheringham at 2045, arriving back at 2145 with ample time to make the 2217 and 2347 connections to Norwich.
For passengers with two and three day rover tickets, there is no additional fare for the Beerex trains. For passengers with a one day rover ticket, an additional fare of £3 applies. For passengers with no Gala ticket, an additional fare of £10 applies. Fish & Chip vouchers are £7 and can be purchased from the Sheringham General Office by 1500 on the day of travel.
