Grant for NNR Footbridges

It has been announced that the M&GN Joint Railway Society will be making a £10,000 grant to the North Norfolk Railway'sCrossing the Line Appeal, which aims to raise £80,000 to construct new footbridges at Sheringham and Holt.

The grant will be split 50/50 between both footbridge constructions. At Sheringham, a replica of the original structure will be made, which spanned the tracks at the Cromer end of the stations. At Holt, a much needed bridge will span both platforms, making access much easier and quicker. The design at Holt will emulate the M&GN designs commonly seen at many rural stations such as Drayton & Aylsham North.
