First Milestone for Y14 Appeal

After only a week after launching, theY14:2014 Appealhas raised £10,000. This equates to 10% of the total and is a significant milestone for the appeal.

The Y14:2014 appeal was launched to raise funds to overhaul J15 7564, and return her to steam with the appearance of a Great Eastern Y14 as she was built. The funds already raised will enable us to continue overhauling the locmotive, which is currently at Ian Riley's engineering workshops at Bury in Lancashire. If we can reach the £100,000 target, then the locomotive could be steamed once again by late 2014.
