Could you help with our Museum? Coordinator vacancy
Dave King writes:
I have been a volunteer on the NNR for the last 25 years, 20 of which have been as Museum Curator. This is a long time doing any job and it is now time to split some of the responsibilities and encourage some new faces to come along and help move the operation forwards.
Could YOU be one of the new faces?
The first of these positions is as Museum Coordinator for the actual Museum building at Holt.
Ideally, the person would be responsible for the running of the physical Museum itself, plus the volunteer staff (after suitable training and practice, of course):
Keeping tabs on the active volunteers and ensuring that someone is rostered to cover every NNR operating day (I would also be still available for a day’s ‘fix’ at the visitorface!)
Looking at the displays and liaising with senior stewards to rearrange and introduce new artefacts to the show.
Liaise with our friends at the M&GN bookshop re Museum stock for sale.
Ensure that the daily forms and cash are bagged up ready for later checking / banking.
I plan to be away from Norfolk for some considerable time this year, so, if you are interested, please contact me as soon as you can.
If you are interested in this role or helping in the museum please contact Dave King on dave.king@mandgn.org
