Buy this Society book and help with the B12’s overhaul

A Pictorial History of the B12s is a 168-page book of B12 photos and captions produced specifically to support 8572’s restoration. It covers the class from a works photo of the launch of the first one, 1500, another being built at Stratford, through their developments and rebuild to B12/3 – there are over 75 pages covering the BR era. A small number of original LNER works drawings have also been reproduced. The final section is dedicated to 8572, from the first photo taken of it in 1929 to 2021.

Priced at £23.95, it is available from the Society’s on-line shop (free P&P for members) and Jarrolds and City bookshops in Norwich.

All profits from sales of the book go towards the cost of 8572’s overhaul.
