B12 Steals the Show at G&WSR

The Society's B12 4-6-0 no.8572 stole the show at the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway's four dayCotswold Steam Celebrationgala over the bank holiday weekend.

The visit to Gloucestershire was the B12's first departure from the North Norfolk Railway since returning to steam in March 2012 and will be her only visit to another railway this year.

The locomotive was supported by a number of Society volunteers, including Society Chairman Neil Sharpe, Society Vice-Chairman Ash Barrs, Society Locomotive Engineer Keith Ashford, Society Treasurer Tony Dewey and Society Secretary David Wright and wife Maureen.

The B12 will return to the NNR next week and is likely to be pressed into service straight away.
