Another step forward this week with the repair of 90775s boiler.

The boiler passed its statutory Part 1 inspection by British Engineering Services yesterday, which has allowed us to progress to the next stage , of putting a fire in her to boil the boiler.

 The dome cover has been left off to prevent becoming pressurised and the boiler filled with water with the aim to allow the repair platework to become hot and expand along with the rest of the platework to stress relieve following the welding.

Next step, the hydraulic test.....
