Amazon Smile and easyfundraising
If you have signed up to Easyfundraising so the Society benefits from donations from retailers you use through that scheme, Amazon might be one of the retailers you shop with. You might already be aware that Amazon has changed the way it makes donations. You still need to go onto their website via the Easyfundraising page but you will now be directed to Amazon Smile. Going on Amazon Smile for the first time, you need to select the Society as your preferred charity. It's easy to do. Once on Amazon Smile, go into your account and, underneath the search facility at the top of the page, you should see your chosen charity named. This will be Amazon's charity of the day the first time you log in and you will need to click on the down arrow to the right of that charity's name which will bring up a box giving details of that charity and an option to change. Click on the change option and type in the name of your chosen charity - hopefully the Society! - and select. And that's it. The Society will continue to get donations from Amazon for all your purchases. Just remember to type in the Society's full name - "Midland and..." So far as we know, no other retailer has changed its arrangements with Easyfundraising.
