2020 AGM
Updated: Jun 29, 2020
This is the time of year when the Society's trustees would usually be giving thought to our forthcoming AGM. You won't be surprised to learn that we have concluded that it is unrealistic to contemplate our AGM this year taking place on 18 July, as previously scheduled. Even if the current restrictions are lifted in time, we realise that people might still have doubts about attending such an event. We have therefore taken the decision now to postpone the Society's AGM. All being well, the meeting will take place on Saturday, 3 October though, of course, that is still subject to matters beyond our control, not least the relaxing of the lock-down. We will let you have confirmation of the time and venue in due course and I look forward to welcoming members to that meeting. You may have spotted that 3 October is also the date for Members Day this year. We are still hoping we can go ahead with this event, albeit that we might need to revise the format for the day. Again, I have to add that this is 'provisional' too but we will endeavour to give you confirmation as soon as we are able to. Finally, can I take this opportunity to wish all of you, and those close to you, safe passage through these difficult times. Kind regards, Neil Sharpe Chairman, M&GNJRS
