Members' Day
The Annual M&GN Joint Railway Society Members' Day is a highlight in our calendar - it is usually held early in October.
In cooperation with the North Norfolk Railway, we put on special trains for Society Members and NNR Shareholders, entitling them to free travel on all trains on the day, by way of a special complimentary ticket which is redeemable from Sheringham ticket office on presentation of a membership or shareholder's card.
On the day, we try and put as many Society locomotives and items of rolling stock in traffic as possible for our members to enjoy.
Members' Days have run since 2010 and since then we have put on an eclectic mix of trains for our supporters.
Whilst travel is free on Members' Day, thanks to generous supporters, previous events have proved incredibly successful for contributions to appeal funds and general donations so we must thank all members for their extra support. In addition to the complimentary trains, we also aim to provide shed tours of Weybourne works and other attractions as appropriate including a cavalcade of the Society’s locomotives’. the Weybourne Bookshop will also be open on the platform.
